Accessibility When Visiting BECU In Person

We offer a variety of tools and services to make in-person banking accessible and convenient for our members with disabilities.

Accessibility means different things to different people — that's why BECU is committed to providing you with accommodations that meet your individual needs both online and in person. 

Mobility Accommodations

  • BECU locations provide clear entrances, walkways and lobbies, as well as accessible parking spaces. 
  • Our ATMs and in-person member consultant desks meet the height and reach requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). 
  • Video Banking provides one-on-one support from wherever you are. Co-browsing technology allows our consultants to guide you through online processes.

Blind and Low-Vision Services

  • Contact us to request braille or embossed BECU credit cards and embossed BECU debit cards. 
  • BECU ATMS feature braille keys and audio output.
  • We'll read your banking documents to you upon request.

Hearing and Speech Support

  •  We offer American Sign Language (ASL) translation at our expense. Contact us to schedule an appointment with an interpreter. We provide interpreters through the Hearing, Speech & Deaf Center (HSDC) or you can bring your own.
  • Telecommunications Relay Service (TRS) is fully supported by dialing 711 and then contacting BECU at 800-233-2328.
  • Messenger is a convenient option available through Online Banking and the mobile app.

Yes, we welcome all service animals. 

What is covered by BECU for American Sign Language (ASL) interpreter assistance? 
BECU will pay all costs associated with American Sign Language (ASL) interpreter services, including the hourly rate, mileage and parking. Submit your interpreter's invoice to a BECU representative to arrange payment.

What if I speak another language? 
BECU has a dedicated language line that can provide translation services in Video Banking, by phone at 800-233-2328 and in person. Tell us what language you speak, and we'll accommodate you.
